  This is a very interesting wine to me.
  
  The nose is very green with garden herbs, mint and a hints of pepper, eucalyptus and some fruit.
  
  On the palate the wine feels very light with cherry and strawberry, with very strong tannins and a very acidic finish.
  
  The bottle has only been open and hour, I will update with further notes later.
  
  So on day two I have bumped the score up, this wine is now much more integrated with better balance throughout and the finish has evolved from being acidic to a more more refined black pepper and spice finish. Likewise the nose has evolved to cherry and blackberry in the foreground with the herbs in the background.

  This is really quite good. Almost closer to light-bodied than mid-bodied, but quite vibrant in the mouth. The dark berried fruits are initially intense, but gently give way to a mid-palate that is filled out with cured meats, soft baking spice and pepper, followed by an almost sherbet like finish. A fine graphite minerality runs through the wine and knits the whole thing together seamlessly. There is a sultry duskiness to the flavour profile that is quite enchanting. Beautiful.

  Appearance - black red
  Nose - Blueberries, hints of spice, chocolate and liquorice - garden herbs and pepper.
  Palate - subtle fruit with well integrated oak, hints of cigar box, chewy but integrated tannins with a fine mineral background.
  Has 5+ years left in it but already in a zone where it is confidently expressing its understated power, quality and poise to be enjoyed.
