  Color: Dark red; Nose: Cedar, pencil shavings, oak; Taste: Black currant, blackberry, slightly vegetal, sweet oak, rich on the palate, mostly smooth with very slight tannin; Finish: Long & elegant. 37% CS, 34% MR, 29% CF

  Out of magnum. Simply amazing! Maybe one of the biggest surprises ever from a bottle for me. Bright bright fruit. Great balance. Hit all the notes and then some!

  From a magnum at the holiday dinner. Soft and very ripe. Well made, but a little hard to pin down. Finish had a certain bubblegum flavor to it that was not bad, but seemed out of place. Drink now.

  Gave this a 45 minute decant. Delicious and ready to drink. Lovely nose of black fruit with secondary notes of cedar and earth. Fresh and full-bodied on the palate, with a silky finish. 2001 continues to impress at the 10 year mark.
