  • The color is the lightest I've ever seen in a HS...including the rose'! Tart red fruit, dried herbs, and a slight hint of baking spice. The high abv is virtually undetectable. Drink now.

  • Spiced cherries, Ludens cough drops, especially on the finish, grapefruit bitters. Light bodied with silky tannins. Drinking great now.

  • Decanted- Minimal sediment.
Richly scented with aromatics of slightly dried blueberries, cassis and Framboise that show notes of star anise and baking spices, white pepper, singed rosemary, hibiscus, Moorish tea, desecrated violets, tobacco, leather, black licorice, earth and scents of sandalwood, burning incense and camphor.

The full bodied palate shows above moderate acidity and tannins. Flavors of over-ripe blueberries are slightly dried and come with notes of cassis, blackberry and melted black licorice, star anise, clove and ground ginger, white pepper, singed rosemary, sage, camphor, hibiscus, Moorish tea, leather, earth and incense. The finish lingers with grip and a hint of orange oil.

  • Popped and poured...much lighter than expected with faint red fruit and a short finish with some heat...seems to have lost a lot of life since my last bottle a year ago...past its prime in my opinion.

  • PnP, but took a few minutes to open. Lots of red fruit on the nose and the medium bodied palate, along with some earthy notes, balanced acidity, and completely integrated tannins. Overall, a somewhat darker profiled Grenache than many. However, after about an hour the fruit began to fade a bit, allowing the acidity to increase. Do not wait to enjoy this wine.
