This bottle lost out in the natural wine roulette, being a little too Frizzante, and with more than a hint of cider. The nose was still interesting and despite being pretty high-toned, still had interest but made it more of a sipping wine.
I would buy again, having had a tamer bottle near the Piemonte/Liguria border, that was vibrant, complex and exciting. Might 'DYA' though.

Agree with Duncan on the tasting notes for the most part but I absolutely loved this bottle. One of the best no-sulfite added and biodynamically farmed wines I've ever had. I had read that previous vintages were not as good but this was fantastic and full of character. Full review on my blog:
Dark cherry red in colour, with a sense of liveliness. An immediately assertive nose - forest berries, and something slightly vegetal. Not unpleasant. On the palate, a slight petillance and tangy, sour cherry flavours. A long finish. Closed with a crown cap. The vintage not shown on the label, but the merchant tells me it's 2012; and also that it's a blend of Barbera and Dolcetto. The label says it's Biodynamic, Natural, Authentic, and 13.5%. Very hard to rate this: the spritz would be considered a fault in a lot of cases, but as these guys seem to be going for a capital N Natural style, then we're not meant to worry too much. I found it very interesting, so will give it a high score.

Tangy cherry and raspberry fruit with acidity bordering on the shrill side and a hint of brett, it's not going to be for everyone.
