Medium amber colour. Pronounced and developing nose with hazelnut, walnuts, coffee, caramel, charred wood and smoke. Pronounced taste of hazelnut, walnut, honey, coffee, caramel, charred wood and smoke. Long and medium sweet finish. Medium acidity. Full body. A very good PX Sherry. Drink now or over the next five years. Goes well with cheeses or caramel based desserts.

This wine is from a solera which started in 1964. Medium dry. Apple, caramel and a beautiful bit of sweetness. Don't know how to score this, but it is delicious.

This was the Medium Dry Sherry from the 1964 Solera, Amber color, slightly salty nose, on the palate medium dry with some underlying bitter components. Compare to the two bottles opened and tasted about 43 years ago, this on seems to have less intensity on the palate and was less satisfying. Maybe they are overdoing the drawing down a bit ...

Lighter color than most PX I've had. Interesting nutty, almost herbal nose. Restrained sweetness and concentration, more like a rich Amontillado. Good if unusual.

Such a beauty this. Wonderfully complex and rich with marzipan, toasted almonds, hazelnuts, raisin, dried citrus and a lovely spice note. Medium-bodied and medium-sweet. The sweetness enhances the flavours, never overpowers them. Long finish with plenty of oriental spice.
