This wine is good! This is not a typical Deep Napa Cab. This is more like a very good Sangrantino, but made with cab Sav grapes. It is perfect either with cheeses, by itself or with Ahi or any light fish as well. Have it with tabouli. Or a roasted vegetable dish. I had it with Asian ginger flank steak, roasted orange cauliflower with a tahini dressing. and a parsley, romaine, tomato salad with lemon and olive oil dressing. So what does it taste like now? Light tobacco and moderate red and black fruits. Soft velvety tannins that hold it together. It is a wine that is happy playing a supporting role to the evening while not drawing attention to itself. Glasses later it is still a sexy delicate wine that holds its own.

Hints of vanilla on the nose along with some black currants. Tannins softened up while in the glass. Structure seemed simple, and whatever fruit there was a few years go has definitely faded. A bit disappointing, so drink up whatever you have left in the cellar. Check out @west_coast_wino on Instagram for more great recommendations, reviews and stories.

Contains 5% Petit Sirah. Highly aromatic with green pepper and red currant nose. Medium-full bodied with aroma replays on the palate joined by cassis and minty complexity. Dry, chalky tannins and long, slightly warm finish. Could use 2-3 years in cellar.
