13 years since last had this, it has certainly progressed. Initially pours quite mature looking and tasting, but as always with these wines, some time in the decanter provides a pretty dramatic transformation. Modern leaning and reflective of the ripe vintage, but neither characteristic offensively so. Not yet fully developed into the profile I prefer, but certainly accessible now for those who prefer their Nebbiolo on the younger side.

Coffee colour, dark in the centre with watery edge. Smells of coffee and chocolate. Tastes more like a liqueur, although the balance is vinous and good

Decant. Medium red, brick edge. Detailed nose including anise, menthol, leather, balsamic, some VA. This wine has flavours of tar, ripe red fruit and spice in a rich and firm package. Medium length finish. Really lovely even at this young age - the bouquet is the best part.

At Quattro with BH. Very pleased with this wine. Dark, full-bodied, and somewhat modern in style. Drinking very well now, but lots of life and improvement ahead.
