  • Really enjoying these. It's easy and forward, but also with some complexity. You know, it really drinks like a Burgundy tonight. Transparent ruby to garnet in color. Aromas of smoke, tar, dark red fruits, herbs, and white pepper. Medium body and finish, medium(+) acid, and flavors of bright red fruits like pomegranate and cranberry, red licorice, black tea, and orange peel. I'm a fan. Wish I got a case instead of 6; this is a handy wine to have on hand.

  • Ruby to garnet in color. Aromas of red fruits, earth, rose petal, white pepper, and a green element that's more green pepper for me, but I could see asparagus as well (not so much the urine aspect as previously noted). Medium body, medium(+) acid and finish, and flavors of dusty red fruits, leather, black tea, and orange peel. Pretty solid CdR for the (~$13) price.

  • Light and clear in the glass (very Pinot-like). The nose had a warm baking spice character to more than one of us. Upon Pnp everything was a little muted but opened up really nicely after a quick decant. Same warm spice and subtle red fruit on the palate. Agree there is good minerality, though this still a relatively light wine. Tannins in the distant background. Smooth finish. Great value at $13.

  • Popped and poured. Dark ruby. Framboise, rose water and some funk that reminded me of the smell of, bear with me here, urine after a meal with asparagus. Sounds nasty, I know, but that's exactly what came to mind. Anyway, I must admit that I found it interesting. Flavors of raspberries and light herbs. There was a touch of salinity too. Decent acidity. Low tannin. Drink in near term.

  • I was very impressed by this. Clear, precise, cool and mineral. Makes me want to try their chateauneufs.
