Very nice cool climate New World Chardonnay. Very clean and linear nose of lemon, orange blossom, toffee, and peach. The purity of fruit is very delicate and nice layered, but there is a bit of a gap in the middle palate where the acidity, while lovely and lively, erases a bit of the fruit. Then the oak comes in, which while not heavy, does leave a strong toffee note on the finish, before some the citrus comes back. A really lovely glass of wine, that is balanced as far as the individual elements go - fruit, acidity, oak - but isn't quite in sync in how they reveal themselves on the palate.
