From a half bottle purchased off the wine list at Spalti Ristorante in Palo Alto, CA. ($25). Color is slightly darker than your usual Chardonnay. Nice nose of butterscotch, apricot and a hint of green apple. Acidity is still quite lively and there's good fruit and weight at midpalate. Finishes clean with very little noticeable oak influence. This wine was a great match for a chicken, vea,l and fennel stuffed ravioli in a simple vodka cream sauce with crumbled pancetta.
