Traditional flavors and tannin? But lush and fuller body of the new progressive winemakers in the region. Great wine and would not guess this was 10 years in. Beautiful aromas, and has a long life ahead of it.

Drunk well out of the gate, even better hours later. Beguiling nose of sweet and sour cherry, currant, strawberry and a whiff of mint. Broad earthy red fruits in the mouth are buttressed by silky but not subtle tannin and tangy brown gravy; not so much complexity in the mid-palate. The tang persists into a juicy if narrow medium+ finish. A well crafted well of substance, not quite majesty. Still very very good and possibly better 2020-2025 if the back half becomes more expressive. I'm going to hold my 2012 at least 3 years.

Wow. Tasted it one month ago at an Elio Altare porfolio tasting and bought a bottle. Barbera-nebbiolo blending at its best. Consumed over 2 days. 2nd day was much more open and revealing. Fruit bomb on the nose- red and dark fruits, strawberries and cherries. Also some rose aromas as well as leather and mild hints of tobacco. Great balance between the fruit and acidity, minerality, medium tannins and very nice structure. Ready to enjoy now! A little bit on the pricey side but definitely worth the money.

Silky, sappy, lush, tight & fresh. Killer fruit/intensity/complexity on nose.
Aromatic, big, elegant, long.
Crushed rose-petal, silky, fresh, wild-cherry, sumac, choke-cherry, exotic red-fruit, violet & touch of mint/menthol.
Great acidity & balance. Sensual, elegant & massive, gripping, serious & impressive. Explosive power & sappy intensity.
Complex, wild-berry intense fruit follows all the way through finish/aftertaste.
Brilliant Barbera/Nebbiolo blend (60%Barbera/40%Nebbiolo)
