  • There is a lot of junk coming out of Mendoza these days, so I tend to stick to established families with fruit from the Uco valley. It has paid off for me time and again. This blend of predominately Malbec; Cab, Syrah and Bonarda really hits the spot, and for a great price. Slick across the palate with lively blacks and blues. More red and black on the nose, but the blues come through on the palate. Some dark chocolate notes as well. Not terribly complex, but tasty.

  • A serious and interesting wine. Not your average Argentine Malbec to be sure. Dark crimson to purple. Nose, of dark berry fruits, dust, and ink. Dry, layered, and gripping palate, with lots of dusty minerality. Focused, juicy mid-palate, long finish. Somewhat reminiscent of well made Super Tuscans. Excellent.
