Fairly neutral nose, not much complexity or detectable alcohol. Palate is tart and lightly sweet, with a strong bitter finish that I wasn’t a fan of. Could be good for a cheap weeknight drink.

Dark berries, umami, hayfield, and vanilla-kissed chocolate lifted by gentle acidity and followed by a long, shimmery finish. The longer it decants, the more I like it. Initial rating of 87, but now on the second glass I give it a 92. Expertly blended and aged. Well worth the price.
Day 2
Even more expressive. Brambleberries and mocha come together with dry herbs and a savory note on both nose and palate. The finish has tannic heft. Full bodied, and very nicely balanced. I intend to save the other bottles for a couple years. Another point added.

A Lukas wine special. I mostly bought it to see if James Suckling is still way off on his ratings. Yep, he is.
Color. Dark saturated red
Nose. Cherries, alcohol, sweet strawberry candy.
Palate. Too much RS, not enough acidity, very little depth.

I thought this was better than their signature wine, good Cab-Malbec blend

An interesting blend of cab sauvignon, cab franc, and malbec. Full and fruity. Not super complex or refined; just a nice easy fun tasty wine.
