  • PnP til fenalår fra Tind. Forsiktig lukt av marsipan og gulplomme. Deilig feit smak med kokos og gulplomme fin syre

  • 1998 Ygay, Gran reserva hvit.

  • What a magnificent showing at the restaurant tonight!
    Perfect cork.
Opened in the morning and slow-oxed for 7 hrs.

    Poetically beautiful golden colour.
A distinctly oxidized nose that speaks of at least an odd 15 more years than the vintage declares. Flowers, Viura fruit and that Tutti-Frutti Tablettask I love with this wine and that returns me to warm childhood memories. Industrial rubber and a good dollop of well integrated oak round up the wine's nose.
In the mouth this was percieved as a playful rascal. Acids are M+++ and the small tannin with the fabulous fruit create a vibrant whole. Long, as in Knullarbor Plains long, with various aromas blinking in and out in different patterns for every sip. Magical!

One of the best dry whites I ever had. At it's zenith (I think, but may very well be at it in 2030).

    レストラン谷、小杉先生と一緒に。Restaurang Tani, Tokyo.

  • Mature, maturing and immature Rioja eve (Ulf and Maria S, Umeå, Sweden): Straw yellow wine with signature oxidized, industrial rubber and roasted oak nose. Not as outspoken as it was last time.
Youthful Viura expression that is simply magical. The acids are M++ but still a tightly balanced wine. The small amount of intense tannins presented a refreshing counter-balancing act in the flight. Refinement, restraint and far from integrated roasted oak make up this lovely wine.
    Most loved this!
Our last btl in ~2022 when it ought to have come together quite well.

  • Deep golden yellow. typical white rioja but with a creamier, fruitier note than most. Lemon custard, floral. Very good. Fresher bottle than the one I had at the RWC tasting last year.
