  • Casual Cabernet Franc: Blind. Quite ethereal on the nose, it's quite hard to actually pin down the composition of this but I found raspberry, licorice, some bath salts and a light wooden character. The palate is in a similar style with light red fruits and a good acid kick to give it some vibrancy. Feels like a complex wine, though I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the last bottle.

  • Jura Tasting: Tasted blind. Vibrant purple in colour. There is plenty of interest on the nose - with raspberry, graphite, some smoky meat, spices and rhubarb. The acidity lifts up the sweet red fruit on the palate, there is actually a nice sweet and sour interplay happening. Some very light tannins provide some structure as well.

Revealed as a Passionvale Shiraz Sangiovese and I think this is the best wine I've tasted from them so far.
