  • Bought this about a year ago, laid it down in the cellar and finally got around to pulling the cork. Decanted and left it for about 45 minutes. Opened nicely with a lot of forward fruit as you would expect. Dark and clear, it was a touch sweet in the middle but overall, satisfyingly dry enough to pair with a steak or duck. Not sure what's in the blend but I'd have to believe Syrah, with, maybe, some Zin in there for body. A pretty good bottle of full bodied red wine!

  • At SD26 in NYC at a business event. Ordered by one of our guests as a break from the Italian reds...

Dark purple/red color. Big calif nose of dark fruits and oak. Mouthcoating texture. Plums, currants, dark fruits, blackberry. A bit sweet on the mid palate - almost dessert like - which made the wine tougher to pair with main courses. Would probably be better on its own. A little hot, needs time
