gamey and meaty, dried herbs and flowers, stemmy, hints of vanilla, palate more of the same, some deep red fruits, moved into secondary phase, tannins resolving, good example of cooler climate shiraz

After the Deisen previously drunk, this stood up surprisingly well. Softer, more refined, cool climate shiraz, firm tannins. Dry finish. In its drinking window.

Coming from the cooler climes of the Mornington Peninsula this shiraz doesn't have the plumbier overtones of a Barossa shiraz. Firm tannins have given this red some good structure to assist with a well rounded mouth feel. Goes well with dark chocolate and hard cheese.

Red and blue fruits mingle in a medium palate with hints of pepper and spice. Has some decent carry.
