This was lovely. Opens hot and disjointed with plenty of barnyard, but quickly settles down into a well-knit Syrah that's ultimately rewarding from first sniff to lingering finish. Cherry red with long lustrous legs punctuated by some minor gritty sediment. Fruit forward in the bouquet with lush raspberries balanced by some cranberry tartness. On the palate it's all about the raspberries, forest floor, red flowers and a touch of wet dog (in a good way; your Jindo coming in from a cold, rainy night and laying by the fireplace). Intriguing smokey elements in the finish. Wish I'd bought more.
