  • PnP'd Friday night. Monolithically black, hot and heavy, like asphalt. Left open and sampled 24 hours later when the wine had pulled way back and was good enough to drink, with dark red fruits and hints of barnyard. Still has fruit, tannins and acidity, and only mild secondary development. Don't know if this will end up in a good place but it has the stuffing to at least try.

  • I have drank this bottling before, can't recall the vintage but remember I liked the fruit profile. This 04 shows the same fresh and vivid blueberry, along with some vanilla. Reminds me a bit of Tensley Colson Canyon, too. Fresh and alive. Nice.

  • dark garnet - attractive floral aromas - medium weight on palate with a minerally backbone - ripe Syrah fruit that stops short of jamminess - a very nice, balanced wine at cellar temp, it finishes a touch hot as it warms at the table.
Wonderfully aromatic as I remember tasting it as a future - the wine hasn't changed much at all. I think it will develop nicely in the bottle over the next few years.
