This stuff has really not done well over time. Perhaps I am just getting it an awkward stage but it has lost all the energy and stony intensity it had in its youth and gained nothing positive. I tried 3 bottles and all were the same. I think I missed the window on this one.

Served with braised cod cakes. Nice mineral & light citrus nose on opening. Fresh but definitely not as stoney intense as bottle I had a year ago. Wonderfully clean palate that lets the grape/citrus/mineral shine, along with some softer fruit. Grew more supple & round with air time and as it warmed, even as it retained the underlying balance and clean cut. Nice wine that kept my interest piqued. Finished last bit of bottle second night. Kept that richer body and flavor. Glad to get another taste!

color light straw. nose has dainty grapefruit and a minerality that borders on saline. in the mouth this is creamy rich but the acid keeps it from thick. lingers on the palate after sipping with a hint of tartness....I am thinking that this would be lights out with oysters?

Purchased after loving the 2010. This wine was similar but clearly a 2011 and not a 2010. Light straw. Stone and citrus fruits on the nose. Relatively full bodied on the palate with peach and grapefruit but much less energy and cut than 2010. I suppose not a surprise. It is fun to compare these two vintages and appreciate what a great year 2010 is.

Rather neutral; not much character, length, or complexity.
