The Second Annual Blind Tasting of American Sparkling Wine: Retail $20. Semillon, Muller-Thurgau, White Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Muscat Canelli, Early Muscat, & Chardonnay. Really pale in the glass with red delicious apple and a bit of funk. Tart and grapefruity on the palate. Very Good. 87-89 Points. thedrunkencyclist.com

Yellow, large bubbles that disappear quickly. Apple cider and citrus on the nose. Fresh, lively and citrus in the mouth. Citrus peel finish, very short. Uncomplicated plonk, soda pop and ultimately unsatisfying but I don’t think it pretends to be anything else. Bought in the U.K. so poor value, easily beaten by English sparklers and very good cava at the same price...bought because it was from Oregon; done it and no need to do it again.

Convivial and crisp, Sokol Blosser's Evolution Sparkling Brut is one of the better priced sparkling wines from Oregon's Willamette Valley. It offers up a nose of green apple, pear and white flowers. On the palate, it's lively and crisp. It's not a complex bubbly, but it is pleasantly carefree on a Sunday afternoon. 11.5% ABV | Sample

Very fun, and not too complex. Good bubbles, a touch of lime. Good acidity, and body, more citrus on the finish.
