  Light garnet coloured. Cherries and a hint of undergrowth. There's initially some greenness on the mid-palette that I didn't like, but that went away or I got used to it after about an hour. There's some good acidity here. Not a bad wine, but I was hoping for better. The 2002 version of this was amazing in 2010 so maybe this vintage just needs more time. I think I'm going to spend my dollars elsewhere though.
