  This was the wine I took home from the tasting room after tasting through a wide range of eclectic wines from KV. In the glass at home, it did not disappoint. Translucent ruby in appearance (similar to a darker pinot noir), with an intriguing nose of strawberries, cherries and toasted nuts. Oddly, the wine had no strong impression of oak on the nose, yet it was very oaky on the back-palate (which I didn't mind). It tastes nothing like cabernet sauvignon but more like...I dunno...a cross between pinot noir and a peppery zinfandel(?). I'd buy it again for its uniqueness. Not a bad value either.

  Cork was composite. Decanted for several hours. Color light shade of Ruby. Nose cranberry, red fruits, white pepper. Palate is med to full bodied with a smooth spicy texture. Different in a good way. Nice easy drinking wine. 5,12,15,6=88

  Light-medium ruby color. Nice nose of plums, black pepper, ripe red cherry, tobacco. Cherry flavors lead on the palate in a fairly light-bodied structure, quite pleasant. Neither tart nor soft, but rather juicy. Finishes with dry, coating, and very fine-grained tannins. A rare grape, vinified quite nicely.

  Had a great taste of white pepper - as the name implies. But it was a little lacking in the back tannins, and needed food with it. Nice bottle though.
