  • Started great with violet, tar and rich blackberry. Over the evening a slight green herb note poked through which was a little distracting. Good acid on the finish. Overall excellent wine. Serve cool as the green notes emerge as the wine warms.

  • Very Nice ! Understated, smooth with very rounded edges. Nose of blueberries. Excellent food wine, went well with Mexican food. Great QPR.

  • Oooooooh, another great QPR Syrah? In my book, yes. I first tasted this wine last year at an event and I had it circled as a wine to source. I never did. This past weekend, I found the wine in retail and bought it for $16.99. It's as good as my notes from last year's event indicate. A nose of pepper and bbq'd meat. The wine is purplish dark and has flavors of game, espresso and some pretty nice structure. There is a fair amount of oak impression in the wine but I can dig it, which comes through in some vanilla/mocha tones. This is a pretty big wine for what I would call a very fair price. Maybe in the same caliber as the Novy Sonoma County and props to Laetitia for a great bottle of cental coast Syrah.
