When purchasing these wines from Envoyer 10 years ago, was told they age very well and try to keep hands off if you can. Well they were right, this wine is singing at the moment and blind I would guess burgundy. Small amount of funk on pop and pour, sois bois and ripe mature fruit. I drank 4 others over the years and they pared in comparison. Bravo!

First night, starts out a little smoky and primary with hints of blueberries on the nose. On the second night the smoke has integrated with a hint of mint and mashed raspberry as well on the nose. The palate feels sweet but is well balanced by tart raspberries yet retains a creamy smoothness to the end.

Light medium ruby color. PNP, split bottle over 3 hours. The nose opens gradually over an hour and offers a mix of rip red berries, raspberry, damp earth, dried cedar, vanilla bean and green brush. On the palate is cherry, tart, spices, raspberry, strawberry, allspice, streaks of cranberry, pepper, oak spice and medium body. This really came together beautifully over the first hour in a fairly Burgundian style.

Great nose of sweet raspberry jam and oak. The tannin was mild and with great structure. This had quite a bit of cranberry tartness that really never evolved to a pleasant note. The finish was medium long and this is where the oak influence came through.
