In an interesting place between initial maturity and youthful power. Some sour black cherry notes, herbs and a faint smokiness in a deep note. Very long aftertaste with some surprising alcohol warmth. Just starting to blossom so while it drinks well now, I'll save my next bottle for 3-5 years

2 bottles, pnp, perfect cork and level - palish ruby, little development; attractive plum and sour cherry notes, some smoke and mineral; medium, quite long and persistent, fine fruit, one bottle surprisingly round and ready, the second tenser and more angular, tightened in the glass, may well go through a dumb phase/. F (17.5).

A strange nose that I can't quite place, but leaning toward coffee bean-type flavors. A little higher-toned than the other Gevreys here, and unassumingly powerful.
