2012 Burgundy at Noizé (Noizé, London): 2/6. Medium/deep ruby. Lovely pure red and black fruit, mineral notes, spice. Medium bodied, elegant and fine with pure fruit, spice, fresh acids, good length finish. Lovely.

Nick A's 2012 Burgundy Horizontal (Table A) (Noizé, London): Something slightly spirity here; almost like a redcurrant liqueur. Some smoky bresaola, a hint of pickled walnut and a touch of ground black pepper. Nice balance in the mouth, acidity a point and a lovely length and richness too. Hint of strawberry shortcake in time and more blue fruits emerging. Hint of inkwell too.

1/6, good cork. Medium ruby/garnet core, pale rim. Nose is dark-fruited - dark cherry, even a touch of blackcurrant, juicy and ripe but overliad with smoke, meat and a touch of mineral. Medium bodied on the palate, dark fruit again, smoke, mineral, meaty hints, certainly rioe-fruited but elegant still with fine tannins and then vibrant acids which carry a good lentgh finish with fruit and spice notes. Excellent, drinking quite well but certainly no need to hurry these.

Dark red and some black fruit, mainly black cherries, with a decent amount of Vosne spice. In a perfect balance between the fruit and the remaining acidity. This Villages is sitting just under the 1er cru Suchots, has relatively thick soil and is therefore richer than Claveliers other Vosne villages: Combe brûlée, la Montagne and les Haut Beaux Monts. In a very good spot right now as most of the 2012 Côte de Nuits.
