Darker ruby, slightly purple colored. First pretty reticent, but opens up with some notes of raspberries, dark berries too, tobacco, also some mint, smoke. It‘s medium+ bodied, with good mid-palate persistence, medium+ acidity and medium-low tannin. Good length. Not the last word about complexity but it has a nice energy and tension, drinks beautifully now, and probably over the next 5-10 years.
