Nice, light red color, cherry and strawberry on the palate. Nothing crazy in term of complexity, but a solid well made elegant burgundy. Love the stuff.

My Grade:VG. Pretty dark cherry with nose of raspberry, cream, dark chocolate, earth-notes. A bit thin on the palate (developed more body and character a day later after vacuvin), raspberry and cherry, some decent minerality and acidity, finish is short and dry with a little pepper. Decent every-day Burg, but doesn't hold a candle to M-M's better offerings.

At the same time I drank vintage 2011, which is more ripe and silky.

Burgundy Tasting with Daniel Haas, Vineyard Brands (State Line, Elkton, MD): Fruity nose suggesting dark berries and spice. Tart, yet candied fruit, slightly earthy, fruity with spicy accents. Fine tannin. Pleasant but seemed confected. 86

2014 Annual Danny Haas Burgundy Tasting (State Line Liquors, Elkton MD): Cherry nose. Decent flavors but hollow on the mid-palate. Light bodied drinker that really does not have a lot to it. Quite a few better options at this price point.
