Good smokey notes on the nose, strawberry and raspberry fruit, dried shrubbery, hot earth. Less intriguing on the palate, a slight spritz even, the fruit is clean but not delivering what the nose promised. Clean finish, slightly salty minerals, smoke. I wonder if this batch has been compromised in shipping because this is nowhere near expectations and that CO2 aspect is suspicious. Pity

Very intriguing and plesant on the nose, but slightly unpolished and rough on the palate. Nose is very Pinot-ish with sandel tree, spices, red berries, cranberries, cherries and rose hip. There is also plenty of roasted oak and gun powder minerality. Medium+ acidity with quite woody tannins and a light to medium body. Good intensity and length. A touch of bitterness on the finish.

Light garnet. Some smoke at first (screwcap reduction?), then red fruit, sois-bois, a hint of hillside herbs. Light on the palate, surprisingly light, fresh red fruits, redcurrant and pale strawberry, some spice and beef blood. Shortish finish, yes there's raspberry pips and spice, hints of oak too, but it quickly fades. Was that all there was to it? I was expecting a lot more. Nice wine, no question, but lacking in power. Not sure if this is a vintage thing or if my expectations were unrealistic. Don't know what on earth Decanter were refering to, honestly. 95 points??? Chambertin-like?? Get a grip.

Disappointing; fair nose of bitter cherries but palate dominated by acidity. Slight improvement after 24-36 hours as air softens it
