NOSE: rich purple fruits; smoky leather; a touch stemmy/savory; Good-n-Plenty candy (sugary outside of them); a bit floral; roasted parsnips; medium+ expressiveness; very nice, and interesting.

BODY: violet color of great depth; medium bodied; clear.

TASTE: well-balanced; good acidity; moderate tannic grip; ripe-yet-fresh purple fruit flavors; clean; hints of black soil and a general earthiness; a bit grapey; the Nose is on this wine is great, but the palate could use some time to settle ---needs some cellar time; kind of Bdx-esque; great QPR.

    B: 50, 5, 13, 16, 8 = 92
