Ruby hue. Nose of cranberry and raspberry scents joined by earth and violets. Red-fruited on the trim, lithe palate with a young tart sheen and fine iron particles. Spiny acidity with moderately tamed tannin. Medium-length finish of sharp berry and fine soil. Young but accessible and balanced. Could continue to evolve for years.

Medium ruby. Nose of cherry pits, mulberry, stone, floral notes, earth. Sharp, pure red raspberry and strawberry fruit on the palate with iodine, brambles, and hints of iron. Copious acidity and firm tannin leading to a longer finish of stony red fruit. Very good and quite young yet.

Needs some time to open. The wine smells of cured meats, smoke, tight red fruit, rose water, and earth. In the mouth, the wine feel very young. I think this wine could go on and improve for another decade easily- there is a ton of fruit acid here. The red fruit is just stacked on top of itself, yeilding a very tart wine, with flavors of game, green stems, and damp forest floor.

Monthly Wine Dinner: Earth, rose, musk and some autumn leaves. The palate shows a good mix of savory and spicy fruit, with a stemmy background and fairly high acid. Enjoyed drinking this now but it should age reasonably well over the shorter term.
