  • Salmon pink color. The red-fruited nose sports cherry and strawberry as well as mineral notes. On the palate, there is tart strawberry and cherry initially with a mineral, think subtle quinine, tinged finish. This is light-bodied and refreshing with balanced acidity. Overall, I liked what Jeff did with this 50/50 syrah/grenache blend because it is crisp and refreshing with a tart, not underripe, fruit profile.

  • This was a nice diversion from the wine, beer and liquor I've been trying to pair with pool time. Honestly, this is a category that I know little to nothing about. Still, this was a great little quaff. I had this bottle preceding the Cayuse Edith and I much preferred this wine. The Grenache/Syrah are evident in this wine. Interestingly, it alludes to a GSM - very understated, but a pleasant way to present varieties I love on a hot summer day. Crisp, refreshing, floral, minerals - a great rose!

  • A very lovely rose. Nose of rose petal and peach... taste of watermelon and a little strawberry... and nice finish. Fairly smooth for a very dry rose. Enjoyed best at ~55F with a little bit of air.

  • Tasted at the Open House. This Rose was very unique. I can't explain the wine's character, but when I mentioned this to Jeff Ames, he said it was due to it being fully dry, which makes some sense. I enjoyed it thoroughly, but don't drink much rose, so don't have too many reference points. Bedrock rose is probably the most similar.
