  • Agree that this represents a very strong value at a very low price point. Grapefruit, grassy, balanced acidity, decent weight. Great choice for a big group

  • Savory aromas of cat pee and flinty stone lead to a remarkably well weighted and layered palate of bright tropical fruit, mandarin and grapefruit. Shows great length too. Stunning value for low cost NZ sauv. blanc.

  • Very light and refreshing. Lots of grapefruit tones. Perfect for summer.

  • Tasted blind. Clear, day bright, pale straw with green hues and some rim variation. Light staining on the medium legs. The nose is clean, youthful and intense, with aromas of citrus and grass, and vegetal aromas of green pepper, jalapeño and cabbage. Some organic, potting soil aromas and no real sign of oak. The palate is dry, medium-bodied, with fresh lime, grapefruit, a hint of green pepper and wet rock flavors. Still no sign of oak. The alcohol, acidity, finish and complexity are all medium (+). A fairly textbook example of a young, New World, cool climate SB. Drinking very well now, not intended for aging. A very good value at $13 and under.

  • For my palate, this is the perfect style of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. This is the epitome of their newer style, less aggressive, more civilized approach. It is still pure New Zealand. The nose and the palate are super intense and hard hitting, just a little more balanced on the attack. Moderate herbal, gooseberry and grassy nose. The concentrated but elegant and expressive lemongrass, gooseberry, lime, clementine, grapefruit and lemon fruit indulges the palate as soon as it touches the lips. Superb balancing acidity. The finish has a steely note to the pepper spiced kiwi, lime and orchard fruit flavors.
