  Found this lost bottle in my cellar and opened it with some trepidation—even though the fill was excellent. The cork was in great shape too with only minimal penetration. Expecting to find a feeble senior I was delighted to come upon a vigorous youngster instead. The wine was possessed of a classic Cabernet bouquet and was blessed with a beautiful balance of lush fruit and firming acidity. It could easily have passed for a wine less than one third its age. The perfect accompaniment to a dry aged New York strip and all the more delicious on account of its being so unexpected. Love when this happens. Only sorry none of my fellow wine lovers was around to share the experience.

  PnP This was surprisingly very good. Excellent concentration with black fruit, tobacco, leather. Full and soft in the mouth. Medium plus finish with few tannins remaining. I'd drink soon as the fruit is starting to fade. Not very complex, but an enjoyable drink if you like mature cabernet.
