Purchased at the Armida tasting room in Capitola. Shows a very pretty Sonoma nose of ripe cherries, bramble and spice with just a touch of heat. Full-bodied and extremely rich. Almost syrupy. Chock full of delicious black cherry and raspberry fruit character, with wonderful depth and intensity. Has just the right amount of acidity to keep things lively too. Notes of spice, cola and oak, along with chewy tannins provide ample complexity to the long, mouth-filling finish. Still just a bit tannic, this will be even better in a few years time. A big, powerful Russian River Pinot that is well worth its $40 price tag. 50+5+12+17+7=91

Sweet fruity nose and creamy texture but unfortunately some burned tones in the finish
