This wine has a nose of pencil lead, leather, blackberries, dried cherries, and white pepper. The tannins are bold and the finish is long and satisfying though a bit more refinement on the palate would move this wine to a rating of 90 or 91.

Very solid Cab. Medium bodied, well structured and balanced, elegantly combining red fruit, liquorice, herbs, roast aromas, with a mentholic finish. Can drink now but will improve over the coming 5 years.

Another wine that helped me navigate the basics of Cabernet Sauvignon back in the day. Nice aromatics from the get-go. Cherries, mint, and a hint of Band-Aid. Rich, plump, and full bodied, there's lots of drive to the tart cherry and red plum flavors. Savory pinch of spice dusts the finish. Nice to revisit.
