  • Stunning. Full and expressive yet restrained and elegant. Nose offered red cherry, rhubarb, rose petals, evolving into a certain nuttiness along with a geeky level of minerality which expressed itself as a certain "funk."
On the palate: flawless balance, silky smoothness weighty mid-palate and a virtually endless finish.
This is a rare wine. Something of unusual distinction. Even within the realm of Eyrie which I am well versed with, this is a particularly good vintage, and it's drinking perfectly right now. It won't fall apart any time soon, but there's really nothing left to wait for on this. Drink with wild abandon!
