Initially was pure blackberry on opening, then it shut down after 10 minutes or so. It opened up over the next few hours, and was enjoyable and nicely balanced. Tannins are in a nice spot. Also delicious on night 2.

Not that open, but retains a lot of the herbal and earthy qualities without hitting you over the head with fruit. Tannins are down to a manageable level - pleasant but not overwhelming. Day 2 it was both more oxidized and more blackberry.

PnP it was all leather and alcohol - not pleasant. Thankfully that blew off in about 5 minutes. Fruit took a little while to come out, surprisingly, and in the meantime it was mostly pepper and herbs.
After the fruit came out, this is a relatively standard young PS, although with very well managed tannins. I'd prefer a touch more acidity, but the flavours and texture are there aside from the tannin (which is shockingly smooth for such a young bottle). For the closeout price I'm a very happy camper. For the standard woot price, I'd still be happy, but not as thrilled. I wonder what this will be like in a few years.

Still plenty of fruit, low-key tannins.

Good. Firmed up a touch since the last bottle, but otherwise the notes from last time are pretty accurate.
