Triple decanted to get rid of the rubbery reductive funk...aromas of blackberry, plum, earth and leather. A little green underpin, sweet spice, a little funky farmyard. Juicy, savoury, more peppery on the palate, that farmyard more to the fore, slightly sour black fruit underpin, talc textured persistent tannins. Hmm based on this tasting.

Fairly dark fruit (blackberry), some clear stem character that has absorbed well, spices, medium body, fine grained tannins with decent astringency. Nice to drink

Had this at Echo Restaurant in Blue Mountains - delicious! The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The body is medium/full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

Lazy Hunter Valley Trip Day 2 (Hunter Valley): Medium plus intensity aromas of green and black peppercorns over black plums and black berry, dense and thick. On the palate the wine has flavours of green and black peppercorn, almost notes of crushed rocks, black plums, leather, burnt earth, long, thick bodied, touches of 85% cocoa plan chocolate. Needs a lot of time. Lovely nose. Very pleasant.
