Classic Chablis notes plus some sea breeze and seaweed but it neither had the weight nor the energy that I would have expected. Paired beautifully well with our raw seafood courses which is all I needed but to drink by itself, it didn’t impress. My first MDT and perhaps my expectations were too high but will have to try others from different producers or vintages.

Dronk the bottle straight out of the cellar from Piuze and it was mind blowing good. The energy is great, very clean, lots of finesses and depth, very close to Grand Cru level.

From magnum, served with thin sliced scallops and spinach en croute with bernaise. This was just a perfect match. The Chablis remains a light yellow color, not especially evolved in this case from the large bottle and cold cellar.
Aromatically open, probably has been throughout. Exactly what you’d expect from a textbook 1ere in a good vintage. Seashells, sea breeze, lemon curd with a little oil.. great texture and length from the long slow press. Fabulous bottle

Nicely classic Chablis that is in the early phases of approach-ability now, and showing clean and precise character but not quite the acidity I would expect.
