  • Downright delicious with great concentration of lush black cherry with musky spice throughout. Juicy acidity. Primary, fun and approachable now. Should improve with cellar time.

  • Drunk over three days.
High concentration and depth. Thick, with high levels of extract. Great power.
Surprisingly little and round tannins, or completely covered by the density.
At the moment I miss the freshness, and hope it will find its balance after a few years in the cellar. It will probably need quite a few.

  • Dark and dusty style of Volnay, softly brooding and gently dark cherry and coffee tones. Palate is quite rich, with plenty of dry tannins, yet has good overall balance and length, for good ageing and development potential. Does not have the frequently overtly floral Volnay character, but the weight and complexity is enticing, and the fragrance will build with time. Clean, classy and I look forward to it in three to five years.
