A stunning example of mature NZ PN, very much in the style of high end PN in NZ at that stage. Extremely ripe and rich, but with air, the complexities and layered palate hinted at profundity. Dark fruits, dense palate with considerable forest floor, but vey much a new world wine. Superb.

Certainly a step above the regular cuvée in intensity, fruit quality and complexity. Ready to drink but still rather primary, this is aging slower than its sibling. Very sweet point fruit , but with complexing notes of bacon fat and caramel. Outstanding in a sweet, ripe and seductive, new world (almost central Otago) style.

2 sessions Wednesday Wine night (Extra Space + Pine Close): Tasted blind. Poured from bottle after 2 hours of air. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of cola, bright red cherries, sweet baking spices, slight fresh herbs. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), medium- tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of cola, bright red cherries, raspberries, sweet spices, chalky minerality, slight fresh herbs. Long finish. Very good quality. Undoubtedly a New World Pinot Noir. I guessed a medium aged Californian Pinot. Will give my bottle another 5 years to develop.

Superb wine. Cool lovely light red florals , blush strawberries and cherries with touches of earthiness but finishing like an afternoon in the strawberry fields fully blooming with red blue pink flowers. An excellent interpretation of Pinot that is silky and seamless reminding me of a chambolle charmes.

Quite a light structure, nicely balanced, interesting flavours of cherry and spice without being too peppery
