Super tight. Did not open after 2 hours decant. Hard to judge this 11 year old Barolo because I’ve never really had one this age this tight and I don’t feel expert enough to rate. Will this open up over time? From other notes 2+ years ago it seems to have been closed for at least 2+ years. This was my last one. Someone ping me if it opens someday!

My original note follows, but i need to amend it with the caveat that this bottle could be bottle shocked, so read in the light of that possibility...”Currently hiding. 4 aerations and 3 hr decant. Still tight with a watery finish. Given the vintage and wine, i believe it is simply in a down turn. I highly suggest waiting a couple years so the fruit finds its way. The tannic structure is there, and i hope the acidity is adequate to carry it forward to a promised land.”
