I've never before seen a CT TN that was exactly as I would describe the wine, until I read JJCT's note below. "Bright red fruit, good acid, some mushrooms and forest floor. Subtle but balanced and fresh, classy. Nice savory finish. Drinking well, this bottle has aged nicely." I'd only specify that for me, the red fruit was cranberry and raspberry, that the nose was more reticent than palate, and that there's plenty left in the tank to go another 5+ years.

Anoterh disappointment. Opened, poured into a decanter, and then tasted over 4 to 5 hours, both on its own and with food. Gabriel Las Cru. Ruby garnet color. Nose is strawberry jam and overripe banana. Brown banana. Nice ripe berry fruit but the banana smell is off-putting.
I read the banana smell may occur when fermentation temperatures are too low. Also, spoilage in the form of amyl acetate may be a factor. Disappointing.
Good cork; branded. 13.1% abv.

With Orange/Soy Pork Tenderloin…. Kind of subdued and closed…. Very subtle, great acidity, red berries and earth whole cluster? A little neutral grapefruit comes out an hour into proceedings. Some creaminess(oak) tying it together .Really complimentary to the Food…. Think this might go a while? Revisit in 2025+

Medium red, spicy red berry nose with something sharp initially, light body red cherry cranberry fruit, some acidityand light tannins. Medium length finish. Served with pork roasted in wood fired oven. Good match.
