  • 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 35% Cabernet Franc. 13%.

The wine was showing signs of brick color. It has an old world nose of pencil lead or shavings with a charming bouquet. Medium-bodied, jammy, it has good structure with well integrated tannins. Low on fruits, but rich in dried cherries coupled with an average finish. A good wine with great potential for quaffers.

  • This is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc that a friend gave me as a gift (he lived in Hungary and brought back 20 cases of reds). This could have fooled me as a Pauillac from 1996. Medium ruby with some amber, the nose of this is pure Pauillac: black currant and minerally cedar scents. Medium bodied and elegant with nice acidity, the finish is very pleasant. A very nice surprise.
