A very nice summer quaffer enjoyed on a nice, warm day for October. Food friendly, but could be enjoyed alone. Delicate strawberries on the nose, light bodied with a clean, off dry finish. A little above average sugar content (not cloying) bringing back memories of 1980's style California white zinfandels...

Bila-Haut: Bright watermelon colored. Nose of wild strawberries, salted margarita, white cherries, roses, very pretty. Fresh and juicy on the palate, a bright and food-friendly aesthetic. I really like the mineral and dried green herb elements to this wine. Chalky, some sugar cane and papaya on the finish. I don’t remember seeing this wine on any by the glass lists, but it should be. Crowd-pleasing blend of CInsault and Grenache.

Coho salmon in color, this wine revealed defined strawberry and watermelon notes on the nose. THe mouth feel brought juicy acidity and a pleasant tang vibrancy. The finish was medium in length with the acidity and fruit coming together seamlessly.
Purchased for $13US, this rose was a pleasure to drink and enjoy with cheese on a warm, late spring evening on my porch. Surprisingly, it drank better the warmer it became, with the strawberry/watermelon notes at their most intense when the wine got closer to 70f.
