  Pours a seductive inky garnet with brilliant edges. Nose is coffee, loamy earth, bramble, and blackberry tea. Age is showing with some prune and musty, rubbery funk, but on the tongue the fruit is intense and ripe, with good acid and body. Accompanying the bright berries is bitter chocolate and tobacco. Finish is medium and clean, with mild but gripping tannins. An unbelievable bargain at $14.
