I would say - just in time. The wine with lots of tertiary notes in the nose after 4 hours of decanting. Only the day after, it evolved to some red fruits in sugar (cherry in liquor). The palate is balanced with a little dominant of acidity but this does not disturb much. The next day all smoother and silkier. Maybe this is the solution - to drink bottles after 24 hours... I would not keep it longer though.

Drank this over 2 days. Upon opening, I got an immediate hard-boiled egg aroma (only on day 1) which blew off after a short time. Nice Brunello. This one is definitely fruit forward blackberries, black currant with full body. Tannins are still prevalent but not overpowering. I think this could get better over the next 3-5 years.

Nose was savory with mulchy cedar wood and dark fruits.
Palatte was more fruit than I expected and didn't have a body that I usually expect from a Brunello. But the flavors were big and well balanced. Bright cherries, floral, more forest floor, and a slight fennel/licorice note on the finish.
Would be much better in a few more years but still delicious today.

Really nice for a 2009. A lot of fruit and some tertiary. Garnet edges and ruby. No other notes but really good for the money.

This was really good tonight, with a decant. Quite lush dark fruit - blackberry perhaps, but sweet ones. Tannins receding nicely.
