A beautiful wine gone in a flash. Family ratings as high as 95. Consumed at a rate that would redefine what it means to appreciate a wine. Does one appreciate a wine more if the bottle is consumed more slowly over time? Or should appreciation be measured by how fast the bottle is emptied.
If you know Barolo and Schiavenza that I won't waste your time describing this wine. Instead, I suggest you run to your cellar and grab a bottle. Better still, have the second bottle on hand. Cheers!

Colour showing some maturity, not dense, rather attractive. Nose a bit reticent until breakfast time next day, rather attractive in a vinous and not fruity way which I like very much. Palate lean and tannic at first, but I'm fairly new to Barolo so I accept that it is normal. By next day, 15mm left in the decanter, it was much improved and not a trace of oxidation or staleness which bodes well. Now very mouthfilling, dry and very nicely balanced. I guess a few years would be beneficial. And as an alternative, a good decant 12 hours prior.

Deep cherry out of the bottle; flavors integrated with air; still tannic but drinkable now; complex; good value
